The City of Bennettsville has an opening for an Operator “Trainee” at the Water Treatment Plant. Knowledge of mechanical and operating characteristics and maintenance requirements of surface water and well water treatment is required. Applicant should have a High School Diploma supplemented by a minimum of 1 year of experience in a job-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Applicant must have the ability to obtain a Water Treatment Class D certification within the first year. A valid SC Driver’s License is required. Some knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook applications is desired.
The starting salary for this position is $25,313.30/year.
