Police Officer/K-9 Handler

The City of Bennettsville has an opening for Police Officer. Applicant should have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Class 1 Law Enforcement Certification is required. K-9 Handler experience is desired.

Applicant will respond to emergency police situations; driving or walking to observe illegal or suspicious activities. Applicant will perform community oriented proactive law enforcement work involving a variety of general or support duty police assignments.

Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of South Carolina is required.

The salary range for this position (SC certified) is $35,422.41 – $41,121.60 per year. Any certified officer that meets requirements is eligible for sign on bonus.
